Stainless steel fasteners are specified wherever carbon steel hardware would corrode, stain, or contaminate a process — food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical plants, water treatment, marine structures and chemical handling facilities. The chromium oxide layer that forms on stainless steel gives these fasteners passive, self-healing corrosion resistance even when the surface is scratched.
Hyrax Fasteners machines and cold-forges its stainless steel range from certified SS 304 (general corrosion resistance) and SS 316 (enhanced resistance to chlorides and marine atmospheres) bar stock. The product range includes hex bolts, hex nuts, socket head cap screws, self-tapping screws, flat washers and spring washers in metric sizes.
All stainless fasteners are passivated after machining to remove surface iron contamination and restore the full chromium-oxide passive layer, ensuring maximum corrosion performance. Hyrax supplies these fasteners loose, in retail-ready blister packs, or bulk-packed for OEM and industrial buyers.
